I am gonna miss you...

Ok this is one of the tragedies in a 17 year old boy`s life. My beloved cell phone, that i love very very much and cannot really live without, got confiscated by my English teacher in school on Thursday. Along with me, a good friend also managed to get his phone taken away. So we begged for our phones back, but since this blog is called "8 days WITHOUT a phone" its no surprise that we didn`t get them back and so i won`t spend much time talking about it.

Our school laws state that a confiscated mobile phone stays with them for one week. But unfortunately the following Thursday is a holiday (stupid public holidays always come at the wrong time)!! So we only get it back next Friday, after school, making it 8 days (27th August 2009 - 4th September 2009).

Not lets look at a few important dates on my social calendar during this time period which i would have really needed my phone for.

Saturday, 29th August: 1) Manchester United vs Arsenal
2) Real Madrid vs Deportivo (la liga season opener)

Tuesday, 1st September: Girlfriend`s Birthday

Thursday, 3rd September: A good friend`s birthday (the one who`s phone got taken away with mine)

So now i head home, feeling incomplete without my phone in my pocket. And the phone-less troubles start right away. Since i didn`t have my phone, i had to listen to radio all the way home. And my, has the quality of that dropped so badly over the last few months.

Anyway, i come home and tell my parents and grand mother the heart breaking story. They of course find my miseries very amusing, and looking at the amount of time i spend on my phone, i do not blame them.

Now i had plans to meet up with a friend who`s down from Canada for a while that evening after SAT class. But since i have no phone, there was no way to co ordinate. But that wasen`t very hard as i just ended up dropping by at her place after class.

So day 1 was that. It felt very strange to not have my phone to wish goodnight before i slept. But oh well!! *sigh*
